How can I use two monitors to extend my desktop without a video/graphics card?

My computer has one VGA and one DVI port built onto the monitor, but there is no video card except for the built-in one (its an Nvidia something).



Can I still connect two monitors & extend my desktop?



Will a VGA or DVI splitter do the trick?|||No. A splitter merely takes the signal meant for one monitor and duplicates it into two identical signals. It will only display identical images at all times on the monitors connected to the splitter.



If you want to drive two monitors independently (be able to display different things on both screens), you need a video card that supports two monitors.
