Has anyone bought a video card for the sims 3 and it works?

I really need a video card but i dont want to spend so much money on something i dont even know will work. Im in the UK, my computer is an E-Machine and its Windows XP.|||I have an 8800GT and an E8400 Dual core and I run on high settings. Here are the minimum requirements: Minimum System Requirements

Other things you need to look at is power consumption. Your emachines will not have a big power supply, that is a given. So if you want to go very big with a PCIEx16 card you are going to have to get a bigger Power supply...
