How can you tell what kind of video card you have?

I heard there is like 2 different kinds and I know that sometimes the little gap in the card doesn't meet with the tooth sticking out in the slot where you put the card in. How do you know all this stuff when getting a new video card?|||Easiest way is open the case and look -

Second easiest way is to look in device manager and see what kind of card you have, then check the manufacturers web site.
