My video card has a pcie 2 x 16 interface, are all other video cards with the same interface compatible?

Recently i've been thinking about upgrading my video card but im not sure what motherboard i have. Ive tried using several hardware programs like everest to find out but it cant b identified. I do that my current video card has a pcie 2 x 16 interface. Will any other video card with the same interface also b compatible with my motherboard?|||Use CPU-Z Software to sniff out your motherboard model and your computer specs, open the program then copy the motherboard model and paste it on the Google search bar and then add manual or video support lists.
