Is there a way to see what video/graphics card I have without opening up my computer?

I mean, there is a way to see what Windows you are running, by typing a command into the "Run" application. I was wondering if there is something similar you can do to find out what your video/graphics card/s you have? And, once I find this out, where can I get (if any) free updated drivers for it/them?|||I'm assuming you are running Windows XP. Look on your desktop and right click on MyComputer > Click on properties of MyComputer and select the hardware tab. From there select Device Manager.

You will see a list of devices your computer has. Click the + sign right next to Display Adapters and it should tell you your video card.

If this is a Gforce or ATI card you can simply go to their website and download the driver needed.

ATI card drivers

http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html|||All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Information

Expand Components and select Display in the left pane. There will be a description and model number in the right pane.

Download the most recent drivers from the manufacturer's web site.|||Start menu-->Run-->type in Dxdiag and hit Enter.

Select Graphic Tab...you should see it there.|||The only free "legal" way to do it is to go into system devices (done differently depending on what version of Windows you have) note the devices, models, etc. and go right to the manufacturers website to download specific drivers. If you have Windows XP or better you can also run the update feature. There is also a website "drivershq.com" but it charges a fee and I'm not about to say how to get around the fee on here lol. As far as what version of Windows you are using just go to system in the control panel and it lists your Win version, memory, etc.
