Whats the difference between a gaming video card and a workstation video card?

What exactly is a "workstation" video card used for? Thanx.|||A Gaming video card is designed specifically for games and the crazyness graphics they withhold. A workstation GPU is more for 3D design applications like C4D and other heavy design applications.|||gaming video card uses more power and workstation video card uses less.|||Both can be used for the same thing, only some cards better for one than the other. For example, the Nvidia 8600 card. Not great for games, pretty good for video editing/ film. But if your talking about having more apps open and running things faster that is your processor and RAM (random access memory) 2 gigs of RAM is recommended.
