Is it OK to get a video card with DDR2 memory even if DDR1 is the memory of my motherboard?

Is it OK to get a video card with DDR2 memory even if DDR1 is the memory of my motherboard? I have a gigabyte 8VM533M-RZ motherboard. It has 992 Mb of DDR 1 RAM. It has a AGP 4x Slot. I'm planning to buy gefroce 5700 256 Mb (128 bit) DDR2. Is it OK?|||Yes, it will be fine. The memory on the video card is only used by the GPU on the card. It has no effect on the memory on your computer.
