I already inserted the video card in the slot but it isnt recognized.|||There could be a little dust in the slot. It really has to be seated all the way. Or, your motherboard and card may not be compatible. I had to re seat my I.O. board twice before it actually made contact.|||Video cards are usually inserted into AGP slots that look like this http://www.phphuoc.htmedsoft.com/reviews… they are usally with a color or by the pci slots than please make sure you get the latest "Driver" so windows recognizes it. If you have a nvidia card go to www.nvdia.com if you have a ati card go to www.ati.com for drivers.|||be more specific ... what card/mobo/and bus is it? probably all you need to do is load the driver but its possible a bios setting needs to be enabled ... like setting it to agp graphics and disabling onboard ... somthing like that|||If you can't get any display when you first turn the computer on, chances are the card was damaged sitting around all these years. See if it works on another PC first before trashing it.
If you can get any display at all, go into the bios and change the primary display from AGP to PCI and see what happens.
