Is it necessary to un-install old video card drivers before installing a new card?

When you are upgrading or replacing a video card is it necessary to un-install the old video cards software before you remove it and install the new card?|||I would always remove the old drivers pre the install. Then load the drivers that come with the new card. Finally check the website for any upgraded drivers for your new card. Enjoy..|||If you are going from an ATI to an Nividia, or vice versa I'd definitely recommended it, otherwise its not critical.|||nope, not really. wont affect anything.
