How do I reinstall a video card drive?

I recently asked a question about my screen going all fuzzy, and someone suggested that I re-install my video card drive. How do I go about doing this? Any help would be appreciated.|||If you have an NVIDIA card, you go here,

http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx…

download new drivers (don't install) goto add/remove prgrams in the control panel, you should see NVIDIA DISPLAY DRIVERS. Uninstall that program, and restart your computer.

now open up your downloaded drivers, and install them, restart computer, and your on your way.

If you have an ATI video card go here...

http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html

same step as above, download, uninstall old one, restart, install new ones, restart, on your way.

You have to know if it's ATI or NVIDIA , and what number it is, such as a 6800gt, 7600gt, 1900pro. You can find it by right clicking on your desktop, going to display settings, and the spot where you change your resolution usually states what card you have.

if not, don't fear, use GPU-Z

http://majorgeeks.com/GPU-Z_d5796.html

it will tell you everything you need to now for your card.

if your new to computers, don't worry 'viruses' and all that crap, I download tons of software and programs from this site, they are a big trustworthy site.|||go on google and find out wat video card you have and then find the website for the manufacturer and go on there and you should be able to find the appropriate software to install it.

Hope this helps

Josh
