Do you need a video card for making a screencast?

I was trying to make a screencast today using camtasia studio, but I realized that it really slowed down my computer. Should I get a cheap video card to make up for this?|||You might as well. But don't forget about your ram. You may need faster/more ram. Here's a graphics card:
