How can I update my video card driver?

Recently I bought and downloaded minecraft. However whenever I try and start the game up, I get error 7fe0271. I have tried many ways to update the video card driver but have found none successful. I use Win7, 32 bit, and my device is called RADEON PRO 9500 / 9700. I really don't want my money to go to waste so any help would be nice!! Oh the driver needs to have accelerated Open GL mode.
